FACIAL THREADS

What Is A Facial Thread Lift Procedure?

Specialised surgical threads are inserted into the skin with a fine needle in the direction that one wants to lift the soft, sagging skin.  Skin and SMAS are re-attached and tightened, helping to reverse the familiar signs of ageing.

Are Facial Threads Safe To Use?

Yes, facial threads are safe to use.

The material used in thread lifting is called polydioxanne, it is a monofilament material that the body is able to completely breakdown by enzymatic action.

However, as with any other medical treatment, there are always possible risks and side effects.  It is necessary for your doctor to explain these possible risks and side effects to you in full before your treatment.

How Do Facial Threads Work?

Specialised surgical threads are inserted into the skin as free floating sutures.Once the threads are inserted, they form a network of scar tissue strands in the superficial tissue layers, and this support structure helps to defy the effects of gravity and ageing.

The threads gradually dissolve over time, each resulting in a strand of scar tissue, which means that results achieved are longer lasting. There is an overall improvement on appearance and texture, and the skin is left rejuvenated and tightened.

What Areas Can Be Treads With Facial Threads?

The most commonly treated areas include:

Brows

Cheeks

Forehead

Jawline

Nasolabial Folds

Lips

Neckline

How Soon Will I See Results?

Results are visible immediately, but continue to improve over the next few months that follow the treatment.

Is There Any Downtime After A Facial Thread Lift?

There is no real down time after the procedure, however some bruising and swelling may occur but htis is temporary and will subside.

However, as with any other medical treatment, there are always possible risks and side effects.  It is necessary for your doctor to explain these possible risks and side effects to you in full before your treatment.

How Long Does Each Procedure Take?

Once you have had a consultation with your doctor to decide how many threads must be inserted, the procedure may take as little as 20 minutes to complete.

How Long Do Facial Threads Last?

Each thread will be take approximately 200 days to be broken down by enzymatic action in the body, however, the results may last longer as each thread results in a strand of scar tissue which helps defy the effects of ageing.

How Many Procedures will I Need For Best Results?

Optimal results are usually achieved in just 1 procedure, however in certain cases multiple treatments may be needed.
